Independence statement
Why you can use these figures in an RFQ response, a business case or a newspaper article — and under which conditions.
Effective 2026-09-12 · version 1.0
Article 1 — Funding
- Hardware Shortage Intelligence receives no sponsorship, advertising or contribution money from any hardware, foundry, memory or cloud party, nor from their competitors.
- Income comes exclusively from advisory work (procurement strategy, architecture) at market-conforming rates. No advisory relationship has veto power over publication, tone or timing.
- If this balance ever changes, the change will be reported on this page before the next edition.
Article 2 — Conflicts of interest
- The editorial team holds no positions in memory- or GPU-related securities on the exchanges mentioned on the day of publication of an edition that names those securities. Price data on this site is context only, never a signal.
- Receipt of free samples, review units or conference access from suppliers is tallied per edition in an events line; up to this edition: none.
Article 3 — Citing and reuse
- Citing is permitted with source attribution and a backlink to the edition in question. Journalists: see the In-brief block on each dossier or mail editor@sx1.nl with the subject ‘Press’.
- Reuse in commercial product datasets requires prior written permission; raw datasets (
data/chart-data.json) are free to reuse with attribution.
Article 4 — Complaints and corrections
- A primary source that finds itself misreported receives a substantive reply within five working days. Proven errors are corrected with a visible revision step — never by silently overwriting the old value.
- Complaints about this independence statement itself: editor@sx1.nl.
Article 5 — Not investment advice
Nothing in this publication is investment advice, a recommendation or a price forecast within the meaning of financial supervision law. Research is research; decisions are yours.
